Impacts of Urban Green Space on Land Surface Temperature from Urban Block Perspectives

Urban green space (UGS) can be regarded as an effective approach to mitigate urban heat island (UHI) effects. Many studies have investigated the impacts of composition and configuration UGS on land surface temperature (LST), while little attention has been paid among different blocks. Thus, taking 1835 blocks in Beijing samples, including low-rise point (LRP), street (LRS), block (LRB), mid-rise (MRP), (MRS), (MRB), high-rise (HRP), (HRS) (HRB), this study LST The results showed that serves cold islands Percentage landscape (PLAND) all types blocks, edge density (ED) MRS, area-weighted fractal dimension index (FRAC_AM) HRS HRB show significantly negative LST, aggregation (AI) LRP shows positive impacts. findings suggest both affect rational allocation would for mitigating UHI
